‘Be on guard,’ the Users of Pi Network
Recently the team behind the controversial cryptocurrency project Pi Network gave two important warnings for its users. Firstly, the developers advised the warning “pioneers” to help them with some data only on the official channels. He also presented a specific safety page showing all the sources and URL links which the community can rely on.
Now and then, Pi Network also advised to all the use their Pi Wallets only in the specified Pi Browser. “Be certain that you are on the right Pi Wallet for your Pi, not any other counterfeit wallet. The real Pi Wallet also has the Pi logo with Core Team apps logo on the navigation bar which is in purple color,” the warning reads.
Such alerts are fundamental for projects with large community outreach and which therefore have a lot of scammers targeting them. Over the last several years, Pi Network has amassed millions of users, and its app has recently reached the 100 million downloads mark.
The Oriental region is quite strong for the project that is China, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, Singapore, and others.
Wu Blockchain has disclosed that the headcount of Pi Network users in South Korea has climbed up to 1.34 Million. Only two local crypto-related organizations are having more users than this namely the famous exchanges Upbit (having a customer base of 4.36 million) as well as Bithumb (with a customer base of 2.24 million). In addition, this figure exceeds the home market clientele of leading customers of bouquets as Binance and Coinbase.
Will There Be New Opportunities?
Having existed for 5 years, Pi Network continues to be widely known, but their mainnet as well as their native token is yet to be launched. For some of their critics, this set of factors alongside with the many delays and unfulfilled targets made them regards the project as a scam stating that the massive growth that they claim to achieve will in fact not happen.
Prior to this, Nebulas Duo has stated that once all the twenty million users has been verified and has the capability to exchange the open platform for Pi Network then they can launch the open network. Pi News stated earlier that the rule was nine million, meaning that only five million were required. The new treaty is generally January 31 (the date which has undergone too many changes in several months).
Furthermore, the Pi Core Team assured that they would provide information about the mainnet open roadmap in December which should give an indication to users when they will be in a position to trade Pi tokens.
It’s a question which still remains unanswered whether the last weeks of the year 2024 will witness any action or if indeed the people who have a negative outlook will be proved right.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
